My husband Mat and I got married at Portola Inn on May 1, 2010. What a magical place it was! Portola Inn not only provided a beautiful backdrop for our reception, but Tom and Peggy helped to make the evening non-stressful, fun, organized, and wonderful! We had our reception on the expansive upper grass with the oak trees’ twinkly lights setting a perfect ambiance. Guests enjoyed the stunning views and beautiful gardens. Having Peggy was like having my own wedding coordinator. She helped us work through all the pre-wedding details like recommending vendors and coordinating the timing for the day, set up, clean up, etc… On the night of the wedding she made sure all the details and any problems were taken care of. We got to just enjoy the night.

From the very beginning, Peggy and Tom were organized, professional and ready to answer all of our questions. We lived 5 hours away at the time, but thanks to their wonderful communication, they made long distance wedding planning easy! They were always quick to answer phone calls and to help in whatever way they could. They listened to our ideas, and did the best they could to accommodate them.

The fact that they have all the supplies (tables, chairs, tablecloths, napkins, materials for centerpieces) really saved us a lot of money!! We used the carriage house the day before to design all the centerpieces, and they just set them out during the set up. They even cleaned up everything and collected all our stuff for pick up the next morning.

We really loved having our wedding at the Portola Inn and would do it again if we had the chance. We were so excited to find this hidden jewel for a wedding our friends and family will talk about for years to come.
